Understanding drawn from nature revealing a fullness of life in the Vine
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Wayne Jacobsen takes the readers into the vineyard of his earthly father and shows through his life working in that vineyard a depth of understanding as it pertains to Biblical references to life in the True Vine. For those reading passages in John where Jesus uses the vineyard to communicate attributes integral to walking with him, but who are not familiar with the intricacies of keeping a vineyard and the wealth of symbolism found there, this book opens a whole new basis from which to glean precious insight. The chapters are relatively short which can provide a devotional type approach to reading the book. The briefness of each chapter provides an opportunity to set the book down and just meditate, or consider the main point presented, giving it time to settle. The end of each chapter found me wanting to read the next in order to discover the pearl presented, while at the same time savoring the flavor of the chapter just completed. Ultimately, the mark of this walk in two vineyards with Wayne, that of his father, and that of our Father, is the deeper appreciation for His nature and provisions for us to partake of that nature.
