The Victory of Surrender

It would have taken me decades to finally start surrendering to God's providence of my life if it wasn't for this book, but God has used Gordon to help us understand one of the big three topics in the Bible. faith (surrender), love and hope. If you actually put into practice the suggestions given by this book, it works and I am here to testify it is working for me.

Gordon Ferguson writes about a topic that few disciples really desire to talk about: total surrender. Of course the Bible makes it clear that total and complete surrender is the only way to eternal life (Luke 14:25-35). But how does one truly surrender to Jesus? How do we give up everything for the kingdom of God? This book seeks to answer those questions. Ferguson writes with conviction that total surrender is the only way to true life. Truly, the way to victory is by surrendering and not by fighting against God.

I read this book soon after I became serious about my relationship with God. I am a very prideful, single mother, who has tried to keep a tight reign on my life and everything in it. I received this book as a gift and it rocked my world. Turning your life over to God is not an easy thing to do, but this book helps us to realize that if our God can create the universe, what makes you think he can't create solutions for your issues? I have seen Gordon speak and he is one of my favorite authors. The book "The Victory of Surrender" is colloquial and practical and I highly recommend it.

I am part of the Campus Ministry at Arizona State University and I have heard Gordon Ferguson speak. He is truly an inspiring writer and speaker. I am so happy to have this book and to have the understanding of what it means to surrender.

I go to the College Campus Ministry of the Boston Church of Christ. It is always a challenge & a struggle to surrender to God. To put your entire life into His hands. To walk by faith EVERYDAY: 24/7/365/Life. There are areas in my life that I hold on to, not wanting to let go. Yet, I must let go and humble myself to the Lord.
