The Victory Garden Landscape Guide

This book is filled with over 100 simple line drawings that illustrate the basic principles of site design, gardening tips, and even how to plant a tree. All of the drawings are pen-and-ink and easy to understand. Both the author and the illustrator attended the University of Michigan Department of Landscape Architecture. Tom Wirth practices outside of Boston, and is a prominent landscape designer. He used to consult on the Victory Garden series. The illustrator is a former landscape designer who freelances as copy editor/copy writer outside of Boston.
