Makes you think...

A good story, and a premeise that makes a person think of what they would do if this situation happened to them. Enjoyable.

A thrilling science fiction novel.

Twenty five teenagers at an overcrowded New York City school have a basement classroom. One day, they emerge to find that everyone else in the city, and possibly the Earth, has vanished from site, leaving no clues as to where they could have gone. Now it's up to the teenagers to discover where everyone else has gone before the same fate befalls them. This was an edge-of-your seat science fiction thriller with a realistic view of what might happen if just a few teenagers and no one else was left on Earth. Unfortunatley, the last book in the series was a dissapointment.

This is the best triligy that I have ever read. There great.

I read this whole triligy in 6 days, and I HATE to read. But with these books I just couldn't put them down. They were interesting and they kept me wondering the whole time. The people in these books are easy to relate to because they do the type of things that most of us would do in the same situation. It's almost every person's fanticy to be the last on earth and be able to have anything or do anything in the world. So in a way I got to live through this book. I mean, I told my friends at school about these books and 4 of them went to the store and bought the first book and now their asking me to barrow the other two. These books are really great.

A Page Turner

I thought this book was excellent! I'm not much of a science fiction reader, but this one caught my attention. I can't wait to read the other two!

An updated version of Lord of The Flies.

What would you do if you were one of twenty-five Highschool seniors left on Earth after the rest of the population has diappeared? This book touches the question and more within its pages. As far as page turners go, this was rivetting. Last On Earth is an interesting mix of Lord of the Flies and a neo political thriller with just a dash of science fiction and and plenty of intersting characters. These seniors are thrust into a world where they are the adults and rules no longer apply. One senior has delusions of grandeur, hoping to turn the others in his community into his personal dictatorship. Others want to find out what actually happened to everyone else in the world. And then there are those that just want to party. Ms. Kaye is wonderful at giving an almost depressing sense of foreshadowing. This personally made me feel the desperation of the students in the community who could no longer follow the totalitarian laws being placed on them by an overly charismatic senior class president. And when they discover what caused the disappearances of everyone they knew and cared about, you might be surprised. Last On Earth is shaping up to be an interesting and thought provoking series and I can't wait until the December release of Book Two: The Convergence.
