The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

This was a 4 -1/2 star rounded up, as I so empathized with both the characters Harold and Maureen. At the beginning I quickly lost my patience with both of them. But as Harold's journey continued, along with their back stories, I really came to care about both of them. I honestly hated it when the fellow pilgrims and the media took over for awhile, just like I do in real life. I know this kept the story honest, I just resented that all that had to be included, and the despair it ending up causing Harold. I had a sense for some of what was coming for the conclusion, but I still broke down in tears several times, another reason I rounded up the stars.

I am 50 pages into the book and I'm just loving it. I smile or laugh often as I read.

Much like Forrest Gump, a man up and goes on a pilgrimage and meets many interesting characters along the way.
