The Ultimate Guide to Fractal Design Painter

Having read just about every Painter book around to try and get a handle on this powerful but complex program I found this the best. I hesitated buying the book because it involved an older version but am glad I finally succumbed. I am now beginning to understand the user interface of this program much better thanks to this book. The other books seem more limited to demonstrating how specific techniques can produce an effect-this book is more general, teaching you the theory behind the interface so you can understand why to do things. I would like to see an update for Painter 5, but even if it is not updated, you want this book if you need a good general introduction to Painter
