Book Overview

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of In a Dark, Dark Wood, The Woman in Cabin 10, The Lying Game, and The Death of Mrs. Westaway comes Ruth Ware's highly anticipated fifth novel.

When she stumbles across the ad, she's looking for something else completely. But it seems like too good an opportunity to miss--a live-in nannying post, with a staggeringly generous salary. And when Rowan Caine...

Oh my goodness

This book will have you wondering from start to end. The end blew my mind!!! Ruth Ware is a literary genius.

Loved

So good, I couldn’t put it down! I really liked that the author made this as a letter to a lawyer. So interesting and I wasn’t expecting the plot twist.

Great thriller

Loved this!! The characters are well fleshed out and it had a great ending.

Wow!!!!

There was no way to prepare me for the ending...

In between stars on this…

This book was quick to the point which I like but it was kinda boring. The only exciting part was the last page like omg really! I don’t know want my cup of tea.

I wrote this review just to keep people from making the same mistake I did...reading this book

Are. You. Kidding. Me?? I've only read one other Ruth Ware book and it was ok. I didn't love nor hate it. This one? I noped out...hard. First off, I loathed the way it was written. Loathed. It. If I had known that is was nothing more than a long letter (the entire book mind you) written by an unlikeable, rambling woman professing her innocence but never really getting to the point, I wouldn't have even bothered. There was nothing suspenseful, frightening or creepy about it. Second, it was a complete bore for all the reasons I just listed. I couldn't even make it passed the first few chapters because of how utterly dull it was. That's right. I didn't even finish it. I went ahead and skipped to the end, only to feel even more contempt for this book. I, unfortunately, purchased said novel (luckily it was cheap) and that will be the last time I ever do that with a Ruth Ware book. As a matter of fact, I doubt I'd read anything by her again after this abomination. I plan on tossing it in the trash. Yea, I truly hated it.

Eerie

Sometimes I was scared to sleep at night after reading a bit but I’m easily spooked. Great read!

Another great Ware novel!

I've read all of Ruth Ware's books, and this one did not disappoint! Another great read!

Favorite author!

I own a copy of every book she’s written. Her books ALWAYS keep me interested. I never want to put them down. She is definitely an author that I will buy without question when new works come out

Twists and turns

Such a great book and not expected! I dont usually read thrillers, but this definitely changed my views of the genre!

Wow wow wow

Every time I read a Ruth Ware book I think this is it, there's no way it can be topped. This book is insanely well written. I read it in one day

Intense read!

If you love thriller books this is a must read! Addictive from very first page

A great read

I enjoyed this book a lot. Surprise moments that I didn't expect. It kept me reading and trying to figure out what was coming. I eventually stopped trying and let it flow. Ha! Totally wasn't expecting what came next. A friend borrowed the book and read it in 1 day. She said she couldn't put it down. Obviously she liked it too. A good read that keeps you guessing. Ruth Ware writes good books.

Loved it!

Great book! Probably my favorite Ruth Ware book. I could not put it down

Ruth Ware never disappoints!

This has been my favorite book of Ruth Ware’s. I found myself getting spooked out at night, but not being able to put it down. I was sucked in instantly and did not see the ending coming. There’s a reason Ruth is my favorite!

Many questions left in the end

This was a real page turner and I enjoyed it, however it ended too abruptly leaving way too many questions.

Turn Of The Key Ending

Ruth Ware, you left me hanging at the ending of this book. Are you going to write another book, book 2? I hope so. Loved the book, until the ending.

One of my favorite Ruth Ware books

LOVE a good ghost story. Great book. Recommend highly for anyone who is a fan of mysteries. I could not put this down.
