Truth about Me & Bobby V

As a young girl of color in the Reading is Fundamental Club at my local library I had never read a romance novel that told the story of another African American girl. This was the first in the "Sweet Dreams" series I had ever seen and I loved it, perhaps because she reminded me a lot of myself, awkward and introspective, trying to fit in with her peers. I have read this book so many times, I probably know most of it by heart. I was sweet, funny and a good read for the genre.
