Great book. I suggest it for ANY young reader that likes fantasy, fun and interesting stuff, & that's not scared of a curse or a weapon here and there. It's a good friendship book. It's a good book all the way around; Well written, keeps you enthralled.

So much fun and oh so quirky which I loved. I think this is definitely a middle grade that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I can see why its been raved about by so many people. I can't wait to continue the series.

Morrigan is a young girl who grows up under the oppressive eye of a town and family who believe that she is the cause of every bad thing that happens. If that wasn't bad enough she, just like all cursed children, is doomed to die on her eleventh birthday.
Except, mere moments before her end, a strange man with a strange story offers her the chance to live.
The story has a chilling villain, and a quirky mentor with a relatable main character who, more than anything else, just wants a home, a friend, and a place to truly belong.
