The Things We Don't Forget: Views from Real Life

This was a great book. The book was very thought-provoking. I highly recommend it and can't wait to start her new book.

The book THE THINGS WE DON'T FORGET is about real life stories. It would be impossible to read this book and fail to identify with most of the stories. Life is a story, and Aprile is able to make stories come alive. She writes in very personal way, and it is easy to move from one story to another. However, you must pause and reflect after most stories. It is a book that can be read from the last chapter back to the first chapter. She divides the book into seven setions. If you like to take pictures, you will have no trouble identifying with the stories. It will be fun! Aprile writes, "Change is the theme that weaves its way through the pages of this book...To me, the most powerful way to convey change is through stories of personal experiences: my own and other people's. Stories make sense of change." If you have a family album, you can get it out as you read this book, and watch the book come alive. This is a good book, and it would make an excellent gift. It is a book worth reading and re-reading.
