The Thieves of Heaven

Fourth of July weekend was spent tearing through this wonderful novel. I could not put the book away! The characters were real and Richard made you care what happened to them. I just can't wait till the spring of 2007 for his next book. Keep them coming!

I have read enough books in this genre to be disappointed frequently. This book did not disappoint. It was refreshing in the extreme. I liked the fact that unless you knew in advance, where it was headed came as a complete surprise. The author did his work fleshing out the characters and the criminal aspects well in advance. As I am particularly fond of biblical/religious mysteries, I was pleased that when it reached that part of the book I was already hooked. The last 200 or so pages were the main course and I had already very much enjoyed the salad course. This book wont disappoint and I sincerely hope that the author has many other similar items on his agenda and that he writes quickly! I really look forward to future books.

Anyone who reads the dedication for this book will realize the author has actually set the tone for a love story in his first novel. Michael and Mary have a bond far deeper than just their love for eachother. This book is uplifting in every regard..it is action packed and the ending will fill you with hope. Congratulations Richard on keeping me glued to the pages for hours!! I look forward to your next novel!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Mr. Doetsch surrounds both his story and his characters in an exciting aura that left me turning page after page. "Thieves" is fast paced and filled with unexpected twists and clever plot... Couldn't put it down from the start. I eagerly await a sequel from this first class novelist!

Thieves of heaven is an explosive suspense about a master thief stealing an important treasure. The many surprising twists and turns keep the reader quickly turning pages with excitement. This non-stop thriller is without doubt, a solid, highly entertaining read, which makes it easy to fall into the rhythm of the book and the main characters: Michael and Mary, whose undying love and devotion to one another makes it hard to put down. I definetively loved this book, which reminded me of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. I liked how the action never stopped as well as the sudden development of the events. I will surelly be looking for more books by Richard Doetsch!
