Aiming to help the reader to create a comtemplative lifestyle combined with the naturalness and joy of the Taoist way, this text discuses the need to create empty space in life, This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book cannot be described!!! To quote the editor: "...to live in harmony with the Tao means living in harmony with the inner nature of everything..." If you can understand this statement and want to explore it further, this book is a very spiritual (non-religious) approach to finding your Inner Self, Centering it and becoming Harmonious with Everything around you. It gives you a clear awareness of the abundant gifts of our mystical consciousness, which can only be discovered through Contemplation. This book is NOT a bunch of new age mumbo jumbo; it's the kind of book that makes sense if you read carefully (and sometimes repeatedly) to fully capture its wisdom. Wisdom is not easily comprehended especially if our spirits are not ready to receive such information. But if you are ready to move to a higher level of spiritual understanding, this book is so liberating! I've read similar books on this topic and I always get lost in the wording which causes me to miss the importance of the passage. This book reads and flows like poetry. You just cannot put the book down, because you will find yourself turning the pages to find out what comes next! I was really impressed with this book because it did NOT talk to my brain--- it talked to my psyche & my heart! You just can't find books like this anymore!

I am the author writing to correct the book description. This is not a book about stress and relaxation, but about the inner core of mystical life. It looks at the elements central to contemplative life across traditions and encourages people to create a more contemplative lifestyle that is natural for them. Has something to say to people at all stages of the spiritual journey.
An excellent introduction to Taoist spiritual practices.

Jasmin Lee Cori's Tao Of Contemplation provides an important self-help inspirational guide which considers the elements of silence and simplicity inherent in Taoist approaches to spiritual practice. Chapters consider the meaning of living in harmony and examine guidelines for viewing the sacred in everyday life.
