The only book that works

This is the best book on losing weight ever written. My $1.25 paperback is in shreds, but I still get it out to be inspired about losing the 10 pounds I seem to gain every two years. The diet is simple, the stories absolutely real and inspirational, and Jean a delightful writer. Bless you, Jean Nidetch.

A MUST READ!!!

This is all the meetings rolled into one. It examines our early facinations with food. You learn how to start loving yourself and how you should take better care of yourself. As women, we tend to put ourselves in last place. Everyone else comes first in our lives and us second, third, fith, etc. Time to become a little bit more selfish when it comes to taking care of ourselves. Why? I still use the motto in the book: ' If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be around to take care of others'. Think about that. This book is truly a gift to share with others. Just like my new beverage of choice that replaced my morning brew. Its called s oyfee and taste so wonderful with no caffeine or acids. Organic and made from soya! Bye bye acid stomach and hello healthy tummy! Google it under "acid free coffee"

A fun, motivational read.

Jean's story fills the first 100 pages. She's a REAL compulsive overeater and I totally identified. Many of her stories are fun, too... she's a real "people person." The next 80 pages tell of the birth and growth of Weight Watchers. Then a couple chapters describe the original W.W. guidelines (which are rigid and focused on animal products compared to 2003 W.W. guidelines). The last several chapters (and inserted throughout) contain oodles of stories of individuals who lost and maintained through W.W., some with 200 + pounds. I found it a fun, motivational, and easy read.
