Fated to a loveless marriage, Victoria flees to her cousin in Portugal disguised as a boy. She encounters the hero and convinces him to hire her to get onboard a ship bound for Lisbon. When her cousin discovers she's travel unchaproned with the hero, the gentleman does the honorable thing, but sends his bride back home while he fullfils his mission. He returns to find a beautiful stylish wife whose turned his family upside down. I loved this story. It was well done with great moments of humor and a bit of mystery as to the French spy in London.
