Excellent "How To" book

This is an excellent beginning to end book. It includes how to pick a cat, and covers characteristics of the most popular breeds, including if they are better for households with children or not, should you choose to pick a special breed rather than any kitty. All the basics on cat care and safety are present as well. It does cover some good information on shelters, but does not go over how to evaluate the quality of a shelter or the tests and vaccines available at that shelter, which would have been helpful. Also, it only includes a half a page on death and dying and funeral arrangements. It does cover just about everything else, including how to pick a vet.
