The Silver Touch and Other Family Christmas Stories

I loved this book as a child! I checked it out every year from the public library. The stories are wonderfully goofy and are not the usual, predictable Christmas fare. A child gets stuck in a toilet on Christmas, adults can't resist digging into the brandied gingerbread, a mentally disabled woman plays an angel in the Christmas pageant every year with the children, even as she ages and her hair turns white. I bought this book as an adult and am looking forward to reading it to my own child in the future.
