Kind of Weird

This one got too weird. I couldn’t finish the book. It’s heavy on God & Jesus which is fine but the way the characters are portrayed is very odd. I hardly ever not finish a book but I was content with leaving this one unfinished after reading over half.

Could It Be True ?

I don't show a great deal of emotions unless it is deeply felt. Many parts brought a wonderful release of these. My wife pushed me to read it. I kept putting it off thinking it would be preachy. In the first two chapters, I thought this fellow wasn't a very good writer. However ever I have learned to keep going because the author may be setting a foundation for the story. That he accomplished. It was like he put it into drive and the time flew by. Didn't put it down until the end and wanted to read it again. I dislike it when people complain about the condition of their copy. The simple answer is to spend a little more and buy a better grade. I also dislike it when too much is given away. So I will tell you it has sadness but it turns into happy sadness. The author says it was told to him as an exsperiounce a friend had, one that changed his, and everyone who knows what happened, lives for the better forever. I was shocked because it was everything I believed about the hereafter. The author leaves it to you to decide if it is true or not. My wife says it is I am undecided. But it is one book I will read over and over!

The shack was not my cup of tea.

Only book I ever purchased and didn't finish reading. Too weird and stretched out.

Amazing insight

Loved the sad story! The characters were so real. The book really opened my eyes to a new way of thinking!

Made me think.

Is such a well written book. Give me a lot of "food for thought." How the author is able to intertwine life's difficulties with how God may look at it, was fascinating to me. Loved it!!

Not a good representation of Christian faith.

Almost the opposite of what they believe. I guess the author was trying to tell a story by changing some of its tenets. Good story just think it might have been better by not associating it with a faith that doesn't believe what this story portrays

Ten Stars!

I’ve read the book twice. Watched The Shack movie several times. Anyone who has experienced lies, betrayal, loss of a loved one-especially a child, could find answers to the questions that eat up your insides and crush you.

Correction

I thought I purchased like new but it was very good and with every page almost underlined, I don't see how this would be in a very good category

The Shack is one of my favorite books!

The Shack is one of my favorite books. I've read it several times and each time I read it I can't put it down. It made my relationship with Papa so personal. I buy The Shack and give it out to people with Jesus Calling which is a fantastic devotional.

Too far fetched

The shack is the stupidest book I’ve ever read. I Couldn’t Finish it.

Not totally biblical but….

It is a very good book! It gives a narrative of how God does work in lives of people even if it doesn’t always come to your liking. It is not too churchy either like one wrote. Give it a try. You will be blessed.

The Shack book is written excellent and keep me interested in the book

I enjoyed the entire book of the shack, written excellent and the book keep me interested in the book

Boorish Prose with a silly message

What a waste of two hours.

The Shack is a book for people to read, that don't know God.

People that don't know God, or have had life changing experiences need to read this book. It may be fiction, but there is so much that is real in the book. I own the book and have read it 3 times now. I will read it again. The movie does not do the book justice. But it was good. It was heartbreaking and it made me look at life so different. I am a Christian, and believe that this book was an awesome book. Amen to the Author.

Inspiring and Enlightening

I loved this book so much. It definitely put some things into an easier-to-understand way that really had me thinking about myself and my own relationship with God. I would recommend this for any believer, and also for those who are struggling with their faith for whatever reason, as I have done in the past.

Great book to start you thinking.

Ordered this for a friend and one for myself but ordered the wrong one for myself. Love the book and am now ordering the right one for myself. It gets you thinking about how you view the triune God and your relationship with him.

Horrible book

This is a total mockery and if you love mocking God then you will love this perverted book

The Shack is a must read.

This book will make you reflect. It's a work of fiction but it draws you in like a real current event.

Great read

I could not put this book down. I read this book faster than ive ever read before! Great story of over coming personal hardships.

Can't share so buying another to share

Such a convicting book and all I have to do is look at book and it all comes back

Very Thought provoking,

I really enjoyed this book (read it twice in one week). It touched on subjects I have been mulling over since accepting Jesus in my life.

A heartbreaking but amazing book

Bought it for my grandma, she loved it, couldn't put it down.

The Shack thrilling adventure

This book took me in and kept me there. A roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Still wondering and considering the possibilities.

A story that's Weird

The story got too weird for me

I gave it my best go

First off, I consider myself spiritual, not religious. I always begin every book I read with an open heart and mind however, I had such a difficult time getting through this one. I even once completely skipped pages for it was too heavy on the "God" for me. I honestly really tried to get through but halfway I ended up giving the book away to a coworker. I appreciate the author's attempt at making their version of God look different than what religions perceive him as which I whole-heartily agree with but I don't think the book was a right fit for me.

Loved this story

Opened my eyes to another perspective. Beautifully told

An absolutely amazing book about faith

I absolutely love this book! An amazing story of faith and gods works!

Touched My Heart

"The Shack" is a book I read slowly to each page. I usually pass my books on. This one means so much to me & I relate to much of it, I must keep it for a while. I constantly recommend it.

My kind of Trinity

The Shack is so well worth reading that I have passed it around to others and have bought more copies. The large print is especially appreciated as many of my friends are visually challenged.

Buena lectura, nada mojigata
