one of my favorite books as a child

I wondered if this book I read as a child was as thrilling as I remembered.....it is. The book is well-written and full of adventure. As a child I was curious about the place..Maine..and what it might be like. The children are true to life. The illustrations are splendid. It does not disappoint.
