The Search for El Dorado

I did not actually read straight through this book. The Search for El Dorado is compact, easy to read and has lenghty captions for all of its artifacts. I have always had an interest in ancient history and archeology, but I bought this book mainly for its awesome photos. I combined ideas from two of the gold pieces in this book to make a stained glass suncatcher. I donated it to my local PBS affiliate for their art auction and won a prize. I later had the privilege of traveling to Bogota. The Gold Museum there is absolutely incredible. If you get the chance don't miss it. This book pales in comparison to museum, but it's the next best thing. I wanted to share my stained glass but I couldn't get the photo to upload. Sorry.
