Tedious Versus Thrilling

The characters are not fully developed, and in lieu of suspense, verbose misdirection and unending tricks on the reader dominate. A garbled premise, repetitive obtuse flashbacks, awkward and disconnected tentacles of plot for further complexity that add limited suspense--- I was filled with anticipation to read this book. Very disappointing.

While the characters in the book were nonsensical and the setting was poorly described, I kept reading because there was a mystery and I wanted answers. Sadly, the book ends without pulling together events in the story. I felt like I wasted time reading it. The characters are completely unrelatable, which is unfortunate.
