Mr. Gareth Knight is a pen name well-known to many contemporary Qabalists. This book is another well-written book that sheds much light on the feminine in the Divine. At one point in his life Mr. Knight was afflicted with a zeal for almost fundamental Christianity, from whidh he fortunately recovered. In a latter chapter of this book that zeal may be seen, but it doesn't detract from the value of the book. It is highly recommended, along with the books of Jungian Dr. Esther Harding.
The Queen of Heaven in Various Places and Times +++
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
Like the other works of Gareth Knight, this modest book is full of deep Insight. In this work, he respects particular local Divine Feminine Traditions, while linking them across space and time. "The Rose Cross and The Goddess" is full of rich detail and story. It has good practical suggestions and fine philosophy -- elemental "alchemical" as well as "Thea-logy". Much for the mind and senses to help find [make] an open Gate upon a Path to The Rose Cross and The Goddess. Be you Pagan-Heathen, Judeo-Christian or somewhat both [like this Rosicrucian reader], may you find this book, or its updates, a fine Key to your Gate +++ Updates: "Evoking the Goddess" and "Magic and the Power of the Goddess"
Essential Reading for the Formation of Sacred Space
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
For any who cast & /or work within Sacred Circles, this book is a must! Knight very clearly & simply describes the dynamics of the Magic Circle, and then goes on to place it in the context of several mystical philosophies; Pagan Greece & Egypt, Rosicrucian work, and more. His key point & common denominator is the Magic Circle as the manifestation of the Divne Feminine.
