Read This Book

The Rifle The Rifle is a really good book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that asked me! The book is about a blacksmith that makes the PERFECT rifle. It has the perfect aim. The reason why I like this book is because it is interesting and I enjoyed the history part of it. Someone who enjoys wars and historical fiction may like this book. It's not too long, so it's a quick read, too.

The Rifle

The Rifle Book Review There was man who built a beautiful rifle; it was a one of a kind rifle that could shoot farther then a regular rifle. I really liked The Rifle. It gave me a movie picture in my mind, and I felt like I was in the book. It's the second best book I've read. The best book is The Transall Saga also by Gray Paulsen. The Rifle is about a hand crafter who built the rifle. The builder was amazed that he actually made one for himself. When he was finished with the rifle, he loved it. So he went outside and gave it his first try. He shot three bullets in the same spot, into a tree. When he was done shooting he realized that two of the bullets weren't there. But I will not tell you were they were. You have to read the book. The builder friend who is good at firearms wanted that rifle, so the builder gave it to him. He saw one of his friends was going to be hanged by a British soldier; he shot at the British man who was going to be hanged. He said, "This is the best rifle I ever had." He was running and fell into a hole; it was dark, pitch black. I think that the book is boring in the middle because the book is talking about a boy, and then it goes back to the rifle like in the beginning. I also recommend the book Guts for you because if you like to read gross books, these are books the ones you want to read. The author put his life into the book. As powerful as a shot to the heart!

Before I started working as a bookseller, I never bothered with young adult literature, after all, what did that have to do with me - an adult? But then I discovered writers like Gary Paulsen. This is among his most incredible works. The reader follows the 'life' of a lovingly crafted weapon, from before the days of the American Revolution when a rifle is 'born', to the present. The intersection of this rifle and one young boy is as real as the stories one reads in the paper everyday, and the description of what could have been completely takes the reader's breath away. If you haven't read any of Gary Paulsen's books, you have missed some absolutely incredible literature - try The Rifle, Nightjohn, A Soldier's Heart, Hatchet, or his wonderfully funny and poignant My Life In Dog Years. I have my fingers crossed that Mr. Paulsen will continue to provide readers with the gift of his stories for many years to come.

The Rifle is a great book for all readers of any age.

The Rifle is a great book. The setting for this book is back in the Revolutionary War. It tells about a rifle that was made that shoots bullets perfectly. Whe I say it shoots bullets perfectly , I meant it shoots every bullet in the same place as the first one. Then the rifle is lost until the persent day. You will have to read to find out what happens. Its good for all ages and any reader. This book is also sad compelling novel.

Interesting, Fascinating, Shocking!!

The book starts out describing the rifle, where it was made, the great care/time it took to make it. The the author tells the adventures of the rifle, Through it's eyes. You'll love this book! The end will shock you! I couldn't put it down!
