The Return to the Big Valley

The Return to the Big Valley is a collection of three Amish stories. These stories include: Wilma’s Wish by Wanda E. Brunstetter Martha’s Miracle by Jean Brunstetter Alma’s Acceptance by Richelle Brunstetter I enjoyed every one of these short stories. All of them are heartwarming with clean romance. I was entertained with all three. Readers will be able to connect with one or more of the characters. Though, I liked them all, my favorite of the three would have to be Wanda E Brunstetter’s Wilma’s Wish. The Return to the Big Valley is getting four stars from me. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading sweet Amish fiction. It is definitely worth a read. I liked it. I received a paperback copy of The Return to the Big Valley from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Charming Amish Romance

The Return to the Big Valley is a collection of three romances written by three generations of Brunstetters, Wanda, her daughter-in-law, Jean, and Wanda's granddaughter, Richelle. Having read The Brides of the Big Valley collection I was looking forward to reading these novellas and was not disappointed. The Brunstetter authors have put together an interesting and contemporary look at the Amish with this journey back to the Big Valley, Pennsylvania Amish Community. Each of the main characters is challenged in her faith as she seeks to do God's will in her life in regard to love and marriage. The stories are well-written with strong, lovable characters, good dialogue, twists to the plot, and a little humor amidst the romantic tension. Readers will quickly be caught up in the lives of each of the characters and their stories, hoping for things to turn out satisfactorily. The stories touch on a variety of life issues regarding love and marriage, including unexpected death, ready-made families, and non-traditional role expectations. I enjoyed reading about how each of the couples was able to overcome the obstacles in their relationships to find the happy-ever-after ending we readers like to see. I am looking forward to reading more from these authors and readers who enjoy Amish romance will not want to miss The Return to the Big Valley. I received a complimentary copy of the book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions are my own.

Wonderful!

RETURN TO THE BIG VALLEY: Wilma's Wish by Wanda Brunstetter Martha's Miracle by Jean Brunstetter Alma's Acceptance by Richelle Brunstetter One thing that all readers of Amish fiction know is that any book that is written by a Brunstetter is going to be wonderful! This is a delightful collaboration by Wanda, her daughter-in-law Jean, and Wanda's granddaughter Richelle. Each of these three women has a unique take on living the wholesome Amish life. You won't be disappointed with this book. Highly recommend. Wilma wishes to be Israel Zook's wife more than anything, but when events beyond either of their's control occur, Wilma feels forced to make a difficult decision. Martha knows deep in her heart and soul that she is meant to remain in the Amish faith and community. She is considered a "tomboy" type of girl, which is unusual in the Amish community. She can cook and clean, she'd just rather be off in the great outdoors, appreciating what God has designed for us to enjoy. Alma is a newly widowed young woman who is suffering greatly after her beloved Michael was taken unexpectedly from her. A friend offers a place for her to come and visit to try to get her mind off of her loss. Deeply faith-oriented, things that don't seem to have much focus in today's world, but loved, all the same. #BarbourPublishing #barbourbooks #barbour was so kind to provide the complimentary copy of #returntothebigvalley I was under no obligation to post a review.
