Wonderfully strange and distant

I enjoyed the way this was written, very easy to read and get enveloped in the story. I also enjoyed that the group that is focused on in the book wasn't necessarily the "hero" group, meaning that all of the main conflict, all of the action wasn't happening directly to the group. They were more on the outskirts of the main action and only intervened whenever they HAD to. It's very different than what I'm used to reading since most of the time the main conflict happens to the main character or at least the group of the main character, but this time they were just observers until they weren't.

Wonderful Read

Honestly, I picked up this book having some low expectations - but once I picked it up, I couldn't put it back down. A beautiful tale about not being the main character of the story, this book tells something much more important than what we would imagine. I would recommend it to anyone going through a rough patch in their life, as it goes through mental illness, romance troubles, and just plain being a good person.
