The Resistance Girl

Excellant story, from the very first page to the last . This story takes place in Norway, who's country has been invaded by the Nazi's, just coming in...taking over the whole country. Rumi Orlstad and her dad, his worker Rubio, and her next door neighbor are part of a resistance group and work together to help British Agents fugitives, and Resistance fighters get smuggled across the North Sea . One day Rumi Loses her Fiance , who went on a mission during a very bad storm..and him and his whole crew were lost at sea. Rumi's father who owns a small fishing trawler...does his part as often as he can..either helping British secret agents or smuggling arms and ammunition under his barrels of herring. One day they get word through their Resistance line, that 2 agents have parachuted in and haven't reported yet. Rumi's dad asks her to take xtra ski's and a knapsack to see if she can spot them... up on the mountain..before the German patrols do. Rumi does find one agent stuck in a big tall pine, hanging by his parachute straps turning blue, from the frigid cold and the other agent hurt with a broken shoulder....she manages to rescue both men and bring them down to her house to feed, and warm them and to fix them as best they could..till they could be taken to the village Dr under cover. It so happens the agent she recused... that wasen't hurt so bad, is the nephew of her next door neighbor Marjit, who is like her 2nd mother, since her own mother died when she was 11 yrs old. His name is Jens and him and Rumi eventually develop a relationship after working together in many different situations for the Resistance. There are many situations that leave you on the edge of your seat..not knowing if they will be caught ..especially Jens, as one German Commandant is constantly tracking him and looking to bring him down !! Great story, easy read, Great, endearing Characters...definitely five star Worthy !! Look forward to the rest of her books !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍🏻❣
