Notes inside front cover: "In the Renaissance of Psychology, Pransky sets himself a daunting task: to restructure the fundamentals of psychology. Clearly this is not a new task as it has been tried on... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I first ran across these principles in 1987 in a book called "Sanity, Insanity and Common Sense" by Dr. Roger Mills. The concept is easy to understand and more effective than anything I have ever read or heard about. The book should appeal to Psychologists and people interested in self help that works. The books by Dr. Richard Carlson, a best selling author, always point to these teachings as being the foundation of Psychology. This specific book is one of the best, since Dr. Pransky is a co-founder of Psycholgy of the Mind. The title promises a lot, and delivers.
An inspiring philosophy of mind for the new mellinium

George Pransky tells us that, instead of focusing on the problems of our lives and learning new ways to solve them, we can shift our focus to the processes of our mind that underly and perpetuate the problems. He teaches us about the nature of thought and different kinds of thinking, about how our lack of understanding of how the mind works and how our thinking influences and frequently blocks our natural underlying mental health. This is a practical psychology that has a spiritual basis--an understanding of what Buddhist would call causality. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching for new insight for improving his/her psychological and spiritual life.
