West Virginia To Richmond and Richmond To West Virginia

The Flight of the Albatross begins in the author's native West Virginia. Traversing the mountains like an albatross----the author carries the reader to Richmond, Virginia. Anderson's knowledge of the beautiful Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia and of Richmond make this book especially compelling for anyone familiar with either location. Brad, the main character, becomes a medical school student in Richmond. His hopes and dreams are dashed when he is accused of a crime. Like an albatross Brad is tossed --thither and yond----as he unites with his best friend Chuck to solve the dilemma. The author skillfully combines a detective story and an action packed novel--somewhat akin to the James Bond novels and flicks. The story has all of the ingredients of a good action novel---including romance---ah yes, romance! I would have rated this a 5 star; however, I like the action to begin rapidly in a novel and felt the author held back until the third chapter to really get moving. Once the novel began to move----one finds it difficult to put down. The sign of a good story or movie---is one that leaves you thinking. Sometimes one would like to create a different ending. This is exactly what I wanted to do. Perhaps, you will also! Joyce Church Sutcliffe, Author and Pianist

The author captures the readers attention in a low key fashion as he sets the background for an action packed novel. Those hopes and dreams are dashed when Brad is accused of a crime. This accusation carries Brad just as an albatross would fly---thither and yond----as he unites with his best friend Chuck to solve the dilemna. If you have ever had a best friend with whom you shared things to the point of knowing how they think, you will love this book.
