West Virginia To Richmond and Richmond To West Virginia

The author captures the readers attention in a low key fashion as he sets the background for an action packed novel. Author Ernie Anderson sets the stage for The Flight of the Albatross in his native West Virginia in Greenbrier County. Traversing the mountains like an albatross----we are carried to Richmond, Virginia.Anderson's knowledge of South Eastern West Virginia and of Richmond make this book especially compelling for anyone who lives there or lived either place.Brad, the main character, becomes a law school student in Richmond------with all of his hopes and dreams. Those hopes and dreams are dashed when Brad is accused of a crime. This accusation carries Brad just as an albatross would fly---thither and yond----as he unites with his best friend Chuck to solve the dilemna. If you have ever had a best friend with whom you shared things to the point of knowing how they think, you will love this book. The author skillfully includes a detective story and an action packed novel slightly akin to the James Bond novels and flicks. This novel has all of the ingredients of a good action novel---including romance---ah yes, romance!I would have rated this a 5 star; however, I like my action to begin rapidly in a novel and felt the author held back until the third chapter to really get moving. Once the novel began to move----one finds it difficult to put down. The sign of a good story or movie---is one that leaves you thinking. Sometimes one would like to create a different ending. This is exactly what I wanted to do as a reader. Perhaps you will also!I give this book a four-star rating and recommend.mjcs
