Book Overview

Beyond Yesterday Every story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. That's the way it is at grandmother's house where tea is served each day at four and tales of death and divorce, illness and abandonment are shared by grandmother's circle of friends. The women watch over one another and eveyone watches over Grayling -- whose own story has never been told her to hear. But in a summer of many changes, fourteen-year-old Grayling encounters love...

"The Rain Catcher" by Jean Thesman

I'm not much of a book reader, but this book was a real page turner me. It reminded me of the times i spent with my grandmother down in Missouri visiting family & listening to stories from their past and from mine as well. This story touched me, and I cant wait for my little sister to read it as well. I recomend this book to everyone, especially those who are not much of readers like myself. It is so good it could be a movie.

The Best 4* Book in the World

I like my book The Rain Catchers because it is so realistic, and it deals with problems that you could face in your everyday life. The author of my book is Jean Thesman. She wrote the book about a fifteen-year-old girl who was abandoned by her mother at a young age,and she has live with her grandmother. She loves to live with her grandmother, though and has to strive to get through hard times, but she knows she can alredy make it through herself.

One to add to your collection.

This is one book you will want to add to your collection of good books. This book is one of those few that sucks you into the story, and makes you read it to the end, wishing for more. You actually begin to love, hate, and cherish the characters as the plot unfolds. I recomend this book to anyone, and everyone who needs a book to just pick up and read; not a regular run-of-the-mill storyline.

A touching, witty, story of a not your everyday family.

This unique story was mixed with humor, surprise, hurt, heartwarming situations. I couldn't wait to finish it. It was very enjoyable and stirred your thoughts.

A wonderful book

This was a great book, about a girl who lives with her grandmother, aunts, and her great aunts. At her grandmother's house tea is served promptly at four o'clock, along with storytime. Everybody has a story at grandmother's house, with a begining, middle, and an end: except Grayling her story doesn't have an end, that she (or any one else for that matter) knows of. Grayling's story is lived as you read this book. This book has everything: family, friendship, and love. This was a great book that all of my friends and I have loved for years, and we all recomend it to you.
