Dark, but captivating.

I've become a big fan of (brilliant) Michelle Sagara's work- particularly the Chronicles of Elantra series. These (QotD) were a little darker than I usually pursue, but I do so like her writing style, that I went here. Despite the "young adult" characters, it didn't READ like "Young Adult fiction" (except for a little near the beginning of the second book). I read them individually (rather than this omnibus edition shown).
