The Pursuit of Happiness

I was immediately drawn into this book chapter by chapter and I found Pond's writing to be clear, concise and easy to follow. As I began reading I quickly became interested in the history and study behind the seven dimensions through which life is experienced, and I was eager to learn how to apply the author's methods. By using personal examples that are relatable, David Pond was able to take what I once thought was an abstract, strictly spiritual concept and make it simple in its complexities. The experiences that he included allowed me to understand more about myself as I could draw parallels to his stories within my own life. I know others who have read this book, far more advanced than me, and I now understand that what makes this book so unique is Pond's ability to genuinely reach people who are at all distances along their path. I highly recommend this sincere gem, "The Pursuit of Happiness".

A fascinating book on the "hierarchy" of happiness

I started reading this book having no knowledge of the Chakra System, and ended it knowing a lot more about myself. The author connects with the reader on a personal level, sharing stories, useful meditations, and great knowledge on how to truly achieve happiness. By sharing his personal stories and analyzing his own personal experiences, I found it easy to follow; his examples really support what he writes. I like how he talks about the seven "Levels" of happiness - you have to be physically balanced before you can balance yourself emotionally. For me, this book was an eye opener, and I felt like just by reading the book it brought out values/morals I had in me but never consciously knew of. This is the kind of book that has so much valuable information in it, re-reading it will reveal something new each time. It's also one of those books that you can just open up to a random page, learn something new and employ it that same day. I love how the author keeps an unbiased view, allowing you to form your own opinions, and make personal connections with the values discussed. I'm sure everyone who reads this book will make their own unique connection(s) that correspond to their own life. He has many useful meditations - I chose to skip some of them, but some of them are as simple as breathing deep or forcing a smile upon yourself, which can do wonders for you and the people around you! I'd simply recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand themselves better, and appreciate themselves for what they truly are. Read the book, and let yourself connect with it however feels natural!
