I love this series

I am a big fan of stories from this era, and I really enjoyed all four books in this series, especially this one. I live in reality... I don't need a story to further dwell on that. I enjoy that Lori's books are so ideal, so perfect. I don't mind that the characters aren't "believeable" as some have criticized. That's exactly why I read them! It's fun to escape. And yet in the story there are neat twists and turns. They aren't completey predictable. I recommend this book highly. And I enjoy that the characters you meet as the series goes along are main characters in later books. That is a very neat aspect. I do recommend reading the books in order. I skipped book 2 because I didn't own it and read it last. I wish I hadn't. It isn't necessary, but I think you miss out when those characters pop up in the later books.

English Garden Series

I am a fan of both Lori Wick writing and of the victorian era in which these books are set. The stories are compelling and intriguing. I most loved the fact that you actually became a part of these characters lives, I felt as if I were a part of the families or a good friend who was invited to tea... I strongly suggest that if you like to escape into the beauty of an "English Garden" you will read these books over and over again as I have...

I loved it!!

This was the first Lori Wick book I read and I absolutely loved it! Yes, the characters were sweet, kind and almost perfect, but don't we all desire a little of that in ourselves. After reading this book, I found myself being kinder and a little more patient with the children in my life. I have ordered the rest of the series and I know I will not be disappointed. I recommend this book to anyone who would like a fun, stress free read. When you're done, you'll be full of feel-good-all-over feelings and want more!!!

Very Enjoyable !

This author was recommended to me by a woman in the book store. I had just finished an eight book series by Janette Oke, and was looking for something "lighter" to read. I flew through this book ! The time period, the characters, and the story line are great. All are very well described, and you find yourself drawn into their story. I will buy the other books in this series too.

My proposal to you

This book is awesome! I recently became a Christian and I asked my friend Melinda if she had any good books I could read. She knows me pretty well, and told me she had just the right series for me to read. Before reading this book I had read maybe 2 books my whole life, so this was pretty new territory for me. This book completely blew me away. The story was beautiful and I felt in love with the characters. The most amazing thing about this book was that not only was it a great story, but it really spoke to me. God put a great desire in me to have kids and to take care of them. I have read the four books on this series and the only thing that disappoints me is that there aren't more books to the series. This book and the English Garden Series touched my life, and I would recommend it to all people of all ages.P.S. -I have another really good book that all should read "The Bible" :)
