The Prophecy of the Stones

I think Flavia Bujor, child author did a spectacular job on this book-- as a first novel. The rich, complex plot drew me in the second I started reading. The characters, all of them I could relate to immediatly!!! This is a touching book that I highly recommend!

This is a book written by Flavia Bujor. It was written in French then translated into English. This book is about a quest, a journey to conquer the evil to reveal freedom. The main characters are Jade, Amber and Opal. Jade was always thinking that she was taller than others so she didn't get along well with the two. Amber had lots of feelings and she is quite sensitive. Opal didn't really feel anything, her life was dull and everyday was the same as the day before. But as their friendship grew stronger they learnt to care about others. They were connected with their stones. The stones had a gift it was hope. The evil group is the council of twelve which holds every bit of hope and freedom to a loss. There is a fantasy not so far away from the three girls waiting for them to free the other side of the world to their freedom; the path that lay ahead was unpredictable. A great battle is held to conquer the evil with the army of light and the army of darkness. I like this book because I like magic and I like fantasy and excitement and in this book the author used powerful words that made my spirit soar. I don't know what's bad about this book because every chapter is filled with magic and fantasy sprinkled over it. I would love to read another book like this !

I thought this was the BEST book I've have ever read and the peoole who didn't like it are crazy!!!A book by a 14 year old was better then alot of books by aduts!!!!!!!I felt like I was really there, it was amazing!!!!!I think that everyone should read it.

I think that this book was exceptional, especially for a first novel. Flavia Bujor has an admirable talent for writing. I first picked up the book because of the catchy title. Then I looked at the back and saw that it was written by someone about my age and the book had an interesting plot. I bought the book and started reading it. Once I started, I couldn't put The Prophecy of the Stones down! It had a mix of a few settings, but all the stories were set out in a logical sequence, so eventually they all combined and explained why certain things were put in the story the way they were near the end. If you like suspenseful fantasy stories, this is a great book!

This is a great book for a young adult reader. It is definitely on my top 5 list. It may be confusing to some people but I understood it completely. Fans of Harry Potter will love it. Here is a quick summary. The Prophecy Of The Stones is about three 14 year olds-Jade, Opal, and Amber-who each are given a magical stone that matches their name. They meet at midnight on their birthday and go on a quest to save a magical land called Fairytale from the evil Council of 12 and their Army of Darkness. I really like how it switches off from the 3 girls, to the chosen one(a man with no name) to Joa, a dying girl in Paris.
