Confined by their scheming father in order to control their fortune, Violet Dunn is determined to protect her fragile sister, Rosemary, from their father and risks everything to seek refuge with a troubled man who has his own wounds to heal.
Once again, Ms. Parr took what could have been a typical and ordinary story and made it memorable and extraordinary. The insights and details are not the usual fare--and neither is the story itself. I loved it!
Stories worthy of their beautiful covers

I have read Delia Parr from the beginning of her career and have watched her blossom as a writer. Written in the tradition of Lavyrle Spencer, Parr's books are beautifully written in elegant prose. Her female characters come from oppressed conditions to overcome and perservere in big ways. The characters' faith is always a big factor in their growth and triumph, leaving the reader with a warm, fuzzy feeling at the end.Grab this book and then go back and order her other titles. You'll love them!
