The Prince and I: Volume 2

Basic plot-foreign prince comes to Scotland and helps a dispossessed lady regain her place. I usually enjoy Karen Hawkins’ work but this is the second in this series to disappoint. The characters are flat, the dialogue boring and the whole thing totally lacking in humor. This is not a particularly old book but it feels surprisingly amateurish, even juvenile. I have to admit that after reading half of it I started skipping several pages at a time (and without feeling that I had missed anything). I already own the third and final book, but will have to be desperate to open it.
