Romantic, touching, heartbreaking

This was the first romance that I had ever read by Helen Brooks and it hooked me. She is now one of my favorite series writer. Price of a Wife, without giving away the plot, is romantic, and heartbreakingly touching. The story is sweet but not cloying. I confess to crying each time I read the ending of this book, and I have read and reread it over and over again.
