Lester Levenson teaches that true love is mutual and unconditional

Unfortunately, most of us learned that love is a deal. You do this for me, and I'll do that for you. Lester Levenson in "The Power of Love" teaches that this is not so. True love is unconditional and mutual between two people. If it's good for both of you, it's good. If it's good for one and not the other, it is not mutual and not right. Compromise can still occur in mutuality, but is never forced on the other. To the extent that you love your enemies is the extent to which you love. Lester pointed out that Gandhi conquered India with love. Consider what would happen around the world if we applied a philosophy of love instead of hatred. We would render the worst enemies powerless. In Lester's words, love is not stupid. Love does not mean one does not defend him/herself when needed. But love is far more powerful than bombs. Lester elaborates on love, communication, and letting go of non-loving feelings in this wonderful book. It should be required reading in every school and university in this country and by all marriage counselors. When half of all marriages in our country dissolve within an average of 7 years, what does that say of our capacity to love? Studying this book will heal all your relationships if you will read it with an open heart and then LIVE it. Why suffer in relationships when you can learn to love more and heal those relationships? This book reveals the meaning of true love. You will be astounded by what you were never taught or never heard before.

Highly Recommended

In "The Power of Love" Lester Levenson discusses and describes the spiritual principles behind love that reveal a profound depth of wisdom. He speaks succinctly and straight to our hearts. His understanding helps us to tap into our deep center of knowledge to reveal age-old truths that are often difficult to comprehend. Lester is an American master who lays out the spiritual path clearly using ordinary, everyday language. His style is direct such as "...love is an absolutely necessary ingredient on the path." He points out the dilemma that love is often misunderstood. If practical answers to such questions as "What is love?" "How can one be more loving?" "Where do we get more love?" "How do we get more love?" "What prevents love?" or "How does love effect problems?" are important to you, then buy this book. This is a book to own and savor, to be treasured, to read and reread.

The Power of Love

"The Power of love is the most amazingly pure, precise, no nonsense book I have ever read on the subject of love. Lester Levenson once again, speaks in simple, non-threatening terms in which he gently guides the way to easily surender to the truth that lies within each of us. This book is a definitely worth the read." Renee Campbell, Scottsdale, Arizona

Regain health and happiness with the power of love

Lester Levenson healed himself completely from a heart condition for which he was given just days to live and went on to teach his philosophy of love and healing to others. His message of the healing and restorative powers of love is enormously empowering. This book should be on everyone's bedside table! Patricia Duke, DN Chicago, IL

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND APPROVAL FOR ALL

In this lucidly written book, the author clearly delineates the true meaning of "Love". One of only a handful of truly enlightened American spiritual masters of the 20th century, this powerfully loving and gently self-effacing being literally stands in the august company of such luminaries as St. Augustine. (see "Masters, Mystics, Saint and Sages - Stories of Enlightment by Robert Ullman aad Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman) Delving into the nature of "romantic or human love" and "divine love", the author clarifies the often misunderstood differences between the two in a simple fashion. "Romantic or human love" is conditional and epheremal, and therefore is seeking something in return. That something can be as simple as "wanting approval" for being a "good" person. "Wanting" is posited as a negative state. Divine Love, or "Unconditional Love and Approval" is approached as a Universal Power. The author posits that this is the inherent true nature of All That Is, including human beings. It is free of conditions, and free of judgment. As a power, it is has a positive quality, which transcends time. How does this relate to someone going about an average day? Simply put, learning to identify those negative feelings which are of a non-loving nature, and letting go of them, provides an easy means to a better, less stresful, more abundant life. For those approaching this from a scientific standpoint, the author, with his background as a physicist, always propounded that "I know only that which I can demonstrate." The underpinnings of "Unconditional Love and Approval" as a powerful universal force are described in easily readable form in this short book. The author indeed demonstrated what can be realized through the use of this miraculous power. This book provides some insightful guideposts, at the least, to what some describe as "the holographic universe" or the "God Field" of higher vibrational energy, for its unseen quality. For deeper spiritual seekers, this book is "soul-ality" at its best. Whether one approaches this from the East or the West, the heart of all the great religions and spiritual masters has been the message of "Love". In practical explanation and practice, a book can't get much simpler and useful than this one.
