I collect the cards and I don't know how I would have known if they were rare or common cards if I hadn't found this book. It's the best!

when I got this book, I thought it would help me learn how to play. To be honest, it was actually very helpful, except for Selene and that guy with all those notes. They were just really confusing. My friend, who is the ULTIMATE Mr. Suitcase, found that section on deck building very amusing, and we've calle dhim taht ever since. Generally a good book, but ignore Selene and that other guy with the italics (dont ask)
For all you Magic collectors out there, this book is AWESOME

If you are currently collecting or playing Magic cards, I suggest buying this book if you dont have it NOW! It is filled w/ information, fully illustrated cards, interesting facts, playing tips, etc. Also, buy the Magic Encyclopedia Volume 1.
Excellent book, it includes many vital items.

If you do not have an Alpha edition instruction book than you probably haven't heard Raveeka's (sorry if i misspelled Raveeka) tale. It has deck building strategies as well as a list of some of the cards. by John Skotnik
