This is without a doubt my favorite book. I used to read it to my daughter when she was 3 or so. The illustrations by Nancy Tafuri are fabulous. Each page provides a fantastic illustration along with an illustration around the border that supports the page. I saw that this book was out of print. That's a tragedy. After reading this book to your daughter, you will be unable to refer to her as other than your "dear darling daughter" and when traveling, thing "with a wing wang waddel and a jack fair faddle, it's a long way from home".
