This was my favorite book as a child. It is very long, about 70 pages, but nicely divided into many short chapters. Unlike some children books today, it has some more advanced words sprinkled in that would be good for teaching. The story is about an owl who finds what he truly loves in life (the meadow and sunshine) and is able to finally feel comfortable and accepted doing what he loves. It is a great story about being your own person.
