Book Overview

"I saw and felt the most beautiful luminous blue. I was serene, tranquil, free, and could happily have stayed there forever." Jan Price was destined not to linger in paradise but to return to the physical world and the body she had left behind during a nearly fatal heart attack. This book is Jan's account of her near-death experience and the many precious lessons it taught her--most important, that death need never be feared, by anyone. She describes...

Beautiful & Profound

After dying of a major heart attack, the author Jan Price experienced a taste of heaven through her near-death-experience. In "The Other Side of Death", Mrs. Price eloquently describes what she experienced - providing wonderful messages for us all - as well as discussing the similar experiences of others. If you are at all interested in spirituality & NDE's, I would highly recommend this book. It's an easy to read, insightful book that will warm your heart.

A Really Extraodinary Book -- Read it

I decided I had to voice my opinion after reading the other customer notes on this book. I've studied the Prices' work for years, and this book is as authentic as they come. For persons with little spiritual discernment, it may seem far-fetched. For those who have studied the spiritual journey and have a sense of what is possible, the book resonates with honesty, commitment and truth. As for classifying the Price's work as new-age, I would take issue with that. I would suggest rather than their work has been a logical offshoot of transcendentalism and a retelling of the old mystery school truths which go back to the hermetic teachings and beyond. But rather than try to debunk what has been said, I would recommend you read this book, and decide for yourself. Particularly if you have made a commitment to the spiritual journey, this book contains some important messages. The Prices are not an ordinary couple; they have been studying and teaching spiritual truths for decades. They are scholarly, yet much of their material comes from direct revelation which has been astonishing in its impact on the world. Their contribution of the world healing meditation had millions meditating on world healing in the '80s, and is still going on as an important worldwide healing activity today. If you have sincerely worked with some of the modern spiritual teachings; e.g., ACIM, Power vs. Force, Goldsmith, Unity, Religious Science, Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, etc., I would highly recommend this book for you. If you are enmeshed with orthodox religious belief systems, this book probably is not for you.

Most enchanting, encouraging, and loving.....

I read this book about two years ago, it still remains one of the most powerful books I have ever encountered; and it will remain so for the rest of my life. I thank you Jan.I lost my very dear friend, 'Q-Dee', a most charming little 5 lb black male poodle about six years ago. Q-Dee was with me for about 5 years. The name 'Q-Dee', in the Chinese language, means 'Let-it-be little brother'. I named him that because he had a major heart problem when I got him from a breeder who was supposed to sell me a healthy dog. Well, I was cheated on that. But that was another story. Every time I held Q-Dee was a celebration. I was very connected to Q-Dee. He was a charmer, I often told Q-Dee. Finally I had to give him up to the Humane Society, because of his heart problem. I cried and prayed often for Q-Dee, because I missed him so. One day I bought this book, wanting to read about near death experience. To my surprise Jan actually talked about her dog! This pleasant surprise uplifted me totally..... I no longer felt sad, or felt bad for my giving up of (my guilt) Q-Dee. Quite often, I would ask my 6 year old teacup size Yorkie, who was a baby while Q-Dee was around, "Did Q-Dee come to visit you today?" and I'd smile trying to look for an answer from Little Girl (my Yorkie). Each time I was hoping Little Girl would look at me and say "Yes, woof woof." But, she just looked at me as if she did not know what I was talking about; and that was so cute in her own innocent way. The important thing to me is that (1) I know Q-Dee is well, healthy, happy and knows so much, and (2) that he can come to visit us whenever he wants, protecting Little Girl, because little Girl is so tiny.I thank you so much, Jan, again .....
