Excellent progressive training

The book is self-explanatory and depicts step-by-step the progress of the training. Nevertheless, it does also throw in some more variations of workouts so that the reader never gets bored with the same workout.

Excellent guide to fitness

This is an easy-to-follow guide to get into shape. No elaborate, expensive exercise equipment is needed; just dumbbells, an exercise mat, a pullup bar, and a local high school track for sprints & distance running.The instructors show in words and pictures the proper form for each exercise, and even lay out a daily and weekly schedule to fitness.My only suggestions for improvement would be 1) an index or page reference on the workout pages back to where the exercises are shown2) any fitness manual would be greatly served by being spiral bound so that the book lies flat for easy reference while the beginner uses itIf you are serious about getting in shape this guide will get you there.

All Fun...no Frills

I found this book to be a great back to basics workout. It required little equipment (stuff I picked up cheaply at a local sporting goods store). It was easy to follow and the workout plans were well developed. I can see the results already...tighter abs, stronger upperbody, weight/fat loss.

Exactly what I was looking for!

The book has workout programs (mild, intermediate and spicy) that are well balanced and provide variety (like a shadow box routine). I wanted minimal equipment requirements and variety. This book seems to have all the components for a total workout. Not too complex nor too basic. Just right for me. Thanks Stew, Paul and Andrew!

My wife and I both agree that this is a must...in fact my wife bought five copies to give to her family...need I say more.... TERRIFIC with a capital T
