The herione reminds me of myself when I was 17! Totally an emotional response to everything. She manages to make her way to substantial self-understanding and becomes a finer person as a result. Historic setting is awesome. Love this time period. I read everything history from 1700-1865. And this is very close to the historic record.

Davis Bunn writes a very good story. It was easy to follow as the time line went on. All of the 5 books in the series are very good reading.

She is aware that she must do her duty and marry, but she has already given her heart away to an artist named Luca. After her mother...
