Great Book

This is one of the most gratifying books I have ever read. As a self-proclaimed grammar cop, it is great to know that someone is paying as much attention to detail as I do. I pull out the ol' Nitpicker's Guide every time I watch an episode of TNG, but I have also read it cover-to-cover about 5 times. I am absolutely amazed by the thoroughness of the author (as well as by the amount of free time he must have!) I love this book.

If you want to know what's wrong with episodes...

This book is hysterical and notices things I never would have dreamed of. It doesn't cover everything, so if you like this book you will also want to get the sequel. It's well organized and the second book includes nits that readers submitted. A pageturner.

Great for those people who go, "wait a minute..."

I'm one of those people who picks up on continuity errors in movies and TV shows. I don't know how, but I catch some pretty odd ones. But with this book, Phil Farrand goes where no one has gone before. I don't know how the guy does it. Just make sure read the entry right at the beginning of the show so you can look for all the stuff. Some of it's hard to spot!

How often is being picky this much fun?

Fun! Fun! Fun! - Oh sure, there are those who enjoy watching Trek for the sake of watching, but after about the 15th time you've seen Troi in those low-cut uniforms or admired Data's Sherlock Holmes, you just have to find MORE in these episodes. When you reach that point of Trek saturation - pull out this book (or the companion book for Classic Trek) and crank up that VCR. You'll be amazed at what you've missed, or maybe smug with what you've already noticed! Either way, you just can't lose! Buy your set now & stun your friends & family with your astute observations during their next Trek rerun viewing

Great

Has great summaries of episodes and points out every incontinuity no matter how insignifigant
