The New Spirit-Controlled Woman

This book discusses the four main personality types, further information about these types, and more information about 12 other types that are related. Ever wonder why so-and-so does what s/he does? This book is about him/her. Ms. LaHaye's husband also writes about this kind of personality identification, but Ms. LaHaye tailors the work more towards females (though I'm male and I found a lot to learn in her book). This book could have been complicated to read, but Ms. LaHaye keeps it all on a conversational level that everyone can appreciate.

This book is awesome and not what I expected at all. It lists a possible 12 personalty types (based on four dominant types found in the bible) and all their weakness and strenghts. It goes on to explain how your temperment (personality) effects different relationships: friendships,children,marriages,being single,ect. It uses a spiritual approach to deal with your particular weakness and reveals what you need to pray about. It also gives specific bible passages that are helpful. This book also celebrates the strengths we all have and how to maximize them to carry out God's will for you and to live a more fulfilling, happier life.

We have used this book for many years to help our children understand how God made them and others, how they can grow in being more like other personalities, where they will be tempted, and the gifts they have.
