New Riders Companion

I loved this book and I use it all the time. It is wonderful how it starts in the basics, then outlines the major areas of competitive riding. It explains all of the gaits, from walk to canter, and how you're supposed to do it. It also teaches more experienced riders how to do showjumping and eventing, as well as dressage. In the dressage portion of the book, all maneuvers are demonstrated by both a novice and an experienced rider/horse. Common mistakes are outlined in all techniques of all areas of riding. This book is a must for any rider!
