This is an intense, intelligent, richly psychological and philosophical work that raises all kinds of complex questions about the nature of existence and the act of creation. But it's not weighed down by these concepts: as a reading experience it is absolutely compulsive, I didn't want it to end, but I wanted it to keep going forever. I am looking forward to a slow and thoughtful reread.
