Beautiful images, sweet story.

The book's best feature is the brightly colored artwork. The story is very short, very simple, and delivers a very simple but important message of loving kindness.

Cute book but would be better if the author remembered this tip

I bought this book for my 3 year old son and think it is a delightful story and is well illustrated. I highly recommend it. With that being said, as I read to my son, I will continually have to change some of the wording. The author continuously uses the expression "don't forget" when she wants to convey is the concept of "remembering". If I said to you "Don't think of the color green." "Don't think of the color green." "Don't think of the color green." and then immediately asked you "What color are you thinking of?" If being honest, you would have to say "green" because in order to interpret the sentence, one must think of the color green. If you wish to retain information better, try using the expression, "I need to remember." instead of "don't forget". It is much more effective because using the words "don't forget" is a great way to get a person's to subconsciously forget. The mind will be cut off the "don't" part.

great basic buddhist teachings for kids

colorful, nice and bright story, good for young kids

Great story and great colors, wonderful art!

I purchased this book as birthday present for my best friend's daughter, but it's tempting to keep just for the beautiful artwork and story.. So much color! Such nice universal teachings.. Very accessible to kids (and adults) of all religions.
