The Miracle of Mind Dynamics: A New Way to Triumphant Living

The greatest discovery of all time is to become aware of the power of God. This is of far greater importance than the discovery of atomic or nuclear power says Joseph Murphy in the opening pages of chaper 4 - The Only Thing That Matters If you only read and absorbed this chapter, you would have the key to success and happiness. Miracle of Mind Dynamics is another 'OUTSTANDING' FIVE ***** BOOK by the late Joseph Murphy. Interesting is that this book was written back in 1964 and was the result of over 40 years of studying mental and spiritual laws.

The life-changing examples and wonderfully inspiring real life case stories from this book, are too numerous to mention. This book has widely been cited as one readers' favorite Joseph Murphy books. The point cannot be over emphasized that persistence is the key with Dr. Murphy's techniques. If these laws are scientific and utterly impersonal (like the laws of gravity or electricity for instance), if they worked for others, they MUST work for you. I found the example on pg.117 helpful and you may wish to read and re-read it. Dr. Murphy also dispels myths that many of us who have at some point been affected by traditional religious beliefs, have been asked to accept: that there is a bartering system between you and the Almighty. You give X amount of days in church, go without a nice cold, light beer (not excess mind you) for long enough, etc., etc. and you get your prayers answered. As Dr. Murphy asserts, it is ALWAYS done unto us as we believe--only as you believe, that is the ONLY condition for answered prayers, that and NOTHING else. Finally, a most inspiring story for those who truly believe that the universe is without limits is as follows: (Pg. 197) Many people are very decisive and categorical in their statements that a man cannot grow a leg or finger, if missing. Let me quote from "He Heals Today" by Elsie H.Salmon*: Mildred was three years old when brought to me. She was born without a left hand. The arm ended in a point no bigger than the size of an index finger well above the wrist. Elsie Salmon said to the parents of this child in response to their question: "If we believe that all things are possible to God, then God can grow this hand." Within a month the point at the end of the deformed arm had doubled in size and was quite plump, whereupon the father now seeing the remarkable development, said, "Anything can happen". The following month there was a formation which looked like a thumb and which, at the time, we thought was a thumb. About three months following we found that this was not a thumb at all but that the growth was the whole hand at the end of the arm and this was unfolding like a flower before our eyes. She concludes by saying that those who were skeptical are now accepting it as an established fact. Perhaps we should take a lesson from the rhinoceros. When you take off his horns and cut out the roots, it grows new horns. Cut the legs off a crab, and it grows new legs. If a man believed that he could grow a finder, leg, or any organ, he could experience his belief. "With God all things are possible." I don't have time to write much but I wanted to post a quick review because this book is wonderful and I hope this review will encourage someone to pick it up. I was first led to JM's teaching about 1.5 years ago and my life hasn't been the same since. I am always eager to read and learn from someone whos attitude is "don't have 'faith' in what I am saying, try it and prove it to yourself"! You will surely do so by following the principles in his books.I particularly got a lot out of Chapter 16 where he gives an account of how someone achieved what is typically thought of as impossible. As he states powerfully, "if a man believe[s] he can experience [whatever his belief is].God bless you even though you are no longer physically with us Joseph Murphy. I would be so happy if someone reads this, is encouraged to buy the book, follows the principles and has their life changed for the good just as mine continually has since understanding the laws of mind and of life.Abundant blessings to anyone reading this.

This book of Dr Joseph Murphy's is very special. He talks on how to live a good, wonderful,prosperous and joyous life, how to heal yourself, how to pray effectively, how to communicate with God, how to create what you desire and many other things. He also explains what is actually meant by confidence. He also explained death & how can it be a beautiful experience. After all it is about going back to your "loving Father" who always loves you & is always for you. . and it is about you going to a different dimension . ..in a higher frequency than before. Where you material body is not relevant anymore. Its a masterpiece. It is written in simple English, with short stories & simple clear messages for the readers to digest. I've also read several of Dr Murphy's books prior to this one & I also love reading Dr Deepak Chopra's writings. In fact the two authors complement each other. I thank God for giving me & readers the opportunity to savour what they have got to offer.

Murphy has written a book that is one of the best I have ever read on the powers of the mind. He shows how God is closely united with a person and never leaves him. He also shows how we can tap the power of God by controlling our thoughts and through the means of effective prayer. His book is an explanation of what is taught in the bible, primarily that as a man thinks, so is he. This is from the book of proverbs, in the bible. He shows the steps on how to pray effectively, how what we think about eventually comes to pass, why we should think for ourselves, why we should wish well to others and leave vengence to God, why we should trust only in God and other insightful advice. All of Murphys books are excellent, but this one in particular is simply wonderful. The author has a knack for clear and simple writing that is easily understood and logical.
