The Midnight Circus

Wow. The library was selling this book for 20 cents...I told them thank you, now I have both of his remarkable books-The Tooth Fairy and now The Midnight Circus! Everyone who loves to tell a story to a child or better yet have the CHILD tell the story to you in his own words must have both of these books in their collection! (By the way, at the time the other book cost me $100.00 so this was really a find!)

This is a great wordless book. My mother found it at the grocery store ,of all places. This is a wonderfully illustrated book about a boy's favorite horsie ride outside the local 5 and dime type store. One day the owner has it replaced with a rocket ride. The little boy is so upset that he refuses to even ride on the rocket. Later that night , the little boy drifts off into dreamland and dreams about riding away to the circus on HIS horsie ride.You won't believe what happens at the circus or what the next trip to the 5 and dime brings.Thanks Mom !
